What placing and cancelling an order costs, and where you see it before you sign.
Placing an order and cancelling one each cost a network fee. The amount you will pay is shown on the Calden approval screen before you sign.

Cardiv covers the fee from time to time. When it does, the approval screen shows 0 CC.
The fee is paid in CC on every pair, including CBTC/cETH, which does not otherwise involve Canton Coin. Keep a CC balance whatever you trade.
Registered market makers pay no fee, on placement or on cancellation, on any pair. Overview covers the programme.
On devnet the standard fee always applies: 10 CC to place and 5 CC to cancel, every time.
