Trading on Cardiv

Approve in Calden

The Calden window where you check an order and sign it, and what happens if you close it.

Every order, every cancel and every market trade ends with the same step: a Calden window where you check the details and sign. Nothing reaches the Canton Network until you do.

The window shows the pair, the side, the amount, the price, the order value and the fee you will pay. Read those before you sign. They are the transaction itself, not a summary of it.

Press Sign & Execute. Calden submits the transaction and returns you to Cardiv, where the order shows up a moment later.

If you change your mind

Close the window instead of signing: nothing is locked, nothing is charged, and no order is created. Cardiv keeps what you typed in the order form, so you can adjust it and try again.

The five minute window

A prepared transaction expires 5 minutes after Cardiv builds it. Sign promptly. If you leave the window sitting past that, signing fails and you place the order again from the form, at whatever the price has become.

What happens to your funds

Nothing moves until you sign. After you do, the lock and the order happen together, in one transaction that either lands whole or does not land at all.
