Fund your wallet
Where each token comes from, and how to get the first one into your wallet.
Cardiv trades what is already in your wallet, so before your first order you need tokens in Calden.
Your party ID is your receiving address on the Canton Network. It starts with Calden::, you can copy it from the Calden dashboard, and any Canton wallet or service can send tokens to it. What arrives shows up in Calden without anything further from you, as long as that token's preapproval is on.
Where each token comes from
| Token | How to get it on mainnet |
|---|---|
| CC (Canton Coin) | An exchange that supports Canton Coin withdrawals to a Canton party, or a transfer from another Canton wallet |
| CBTC | Bitsafe, or a transfer from another Canton wallet |
| cETH | A transfer from another Canton wallet, or buy it on Cardiv with CBTC on the CBTC/cETH pair |
Get one asset into the wallet, then trade into the others on Cardiv.
Which token you spend on which side
| Pair | To buy CBTC you spend | To sell CBTC you spend |
|---|---|---|
| CBTC/CC | CC | CBTC |
| CBTC/cETH | cETH | CBTC |
Keep some CC
Cardiv's fee is paid in CC on every pair, including pairs that do not otherwise involve Canton Coin. Keep a CC balance even if you only trade CBTC against cETH. Fees gives the amounts.
What happens to your funds
Receiving a token is a transfer into your wallet and nothing more. Nothing is locked until you place an order.
